Q. How do we integrate the Cloverly plugin with our Shopify store?
A. Sign up for a Cloverly account, then to go to the My Shopify App page and follow the shop installation instructions. Then, follow the instructions by adding the defined HTML element to your checkout page.
Don't worry about breaking anything. Cloverly is disabled by default, and you can use a sandbox mode by going to your cart.
Then go to your shop and add an item to your cart. Because Cloverly is not enabled by default, Cloverly will not load. To force Cloverly to show on the page, append `?cloverly=force`
to your cart URL. Now you'll see the Cloverly for Shopify experience.
We have worked with many different Shopify customers. We are happy to assist with any installs. Please reach out to us, and we'll walk you through the process.
Q. Technically, how does the Cloverly plugin work?
A. Installing it adds the Cloverly Shopify JavaScript plugin to your shop. Manually, you’ll need to add an HTML element to your cart page which will contain the Cloverly element. Once a customer arrives at their cart, the JavaScript requests a shipping calculation from the Cloverly service, which is displayed to the customer. If the customer chooses to offset their shipping, then a Cloverly item will be added to their cart for checkout.
Q. What if I’m not comfortable making changes to my Shopify store, but I still want a Cloverly integration?
A. Contact us at support@cloverly.com. We would be happy to assist you with installation. We do it all the time.
